User Interface and Applications

The trisection into the different main applications „Reseller Center“, „Content Manager“ and „Administration Center“ has been maintained, separate from the fact that they are accessible under one common IP resp. domain and are interlinked in the so-called Jumppoint, the Portalsuite-start page. Alternatively the three applications can be called via the subdirectories „/reseller“, „/content“ and „/admin“. New Template Functions

Like described in detail in chapter 6, Basic Template Function, the Portalsuite 2002 has not got its own template interpreter anymore but uses PHP 4 instead. This results in many advantages regarding performance and flexibility. >> MORE

Activate Old Template Code Commands (TCC’s)

But it also possible in the Portalsuite 2002 to activate the old template code commands (TCC‘s) and the syntax of the Portalsuite 2000 and 2001. You can control and configure this with a flag in the base setup in the Administration Center. Then all known template commands are available as usual and can be used in the templates. But the PHP interpreter is active parallel so that you could even mix old template code commands with the new Portalsuite functions.
